
The Czech Republic in 2050 - are we ready for it?
Based on current demographic trends and available information on the ageing population, including the planned pension reform, which envisages a gradual extension of the retirement age, companies should also systematically address the topic of age diversity. This is particularly important in order to maintain their economic and social sustainability and competitiveness.

Flexicurity for the Czech Republic - just one part is not enough!
Labour flexibility is crucial for the Czech economy. The Czech labour market urgently needs to increase flexibility and mobility so that "human capital" can move to where it is needed and thus prevent, among other things, structural unemployment. The government is currently looking for ways and tools to revitalise the Czech economy overall. One of the proposals currently under consideration is to simplify the process of hiring and firing employees, drawing on the Danish experience with Flexicurity.

Thank you for yesterday's informal meeting of signatories of the Diversity Charter and members of Business for Society Last year we renewed the tradition of New Year's informal meetings with companies, and on Thursday evening we met at the Visitor Centre in Staropramen.

In the fight against discrimination, in helping to promote diversity and a fairer society, the Commission has taken a proactive approach and continues to work towards fulfilling its commitment. This award recognises the work that cities, municipalities or regions in Europe have done to promote diversity and inclusion.

We signed the Charter against Domestic Violence
The Charter against Domestic Violence was a joint initiative of Vodafone, IKEA and the ROSA Centre for Women, under the auspices of the Department for Gender Equality of the Office of the Government and the Government Commissioner for Human Rights. It brings together 16 stakeholders from companies, institutions and organisations that are involved in the prevention of domestic violence and also help their female employees and victims.
