A sustainable economic future in Europe and the world will no longer be associated solely with traditional economic GDP growth. In early 2024, the World Economic Forum launched a new initiative and campaign called the Future of Growth Initiative.

Based on current demographic trends and available information on the ageing population, including the planned pension reform, which envisages a gradual extension of the retirement age, companies should also systematically address the topic of age diversity. This is particularly important in order to maintain their economic and social sustainability and competitiveness.
Philip Morris: Don't be afraid of diversity, it's good for business
Philip Morris ČR is the first company in the Czech Republic to receive the prestigious Equal-Salary certification, which is awarded by the Swiss EQUAL-SALARY Foundation as an independent confirmation of equal pay for men and women in equal positions. Andrea Gontkovic, Chairman of the Board and CEO, and Michaela Prajerová, P&C Manager, described the process the company went through as part of the audit at a joint meeting of responsible companies. The event was organised by Business for Society as part of its networking programme BPS Café.
