Flexicurity: Innovative Labor Market – Danish Inspiration
Date: September 19th, 2023
We will continue our Dialogue on September 19th with a debate on the Danish labour market model - Flexicurity. This is why the Danish Ambassador, H.E. Søren Kelstrup and Danish experts on flexicurity will participate in this event. We will talk about the Danish model of "flexible labour market" and its potential for the Czech labour market. In Denmark, employers and trade unions can negotiate all work conditions including flexible work schedule and flexible benefits in collective agreement without being fixed by the Labour Code. We want to find out whether this model might also work in the Czech Republic together with the representatives of responsible companies, the Parliament of the Czech Republic, public sector, professional associations and trade unions.
Meeting of Responsible Companies with the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Mrs. Markéta Pekarová Adamová

Together, we want to open up the important topic of how to systematically support women to become more active in decision-making positions in the labour market and in the society, and motivate them to take an active part in shaping and directing our society.
BPS Café
In this autumn, we would like to introduce a new format of closed networking meetings called "BPS CAFÉ" for our members and signatories of the Diversity Charter.
Diversity and Inclusion in Production Companies
The requested topic of the new BPS Café format will be diversity in production and manufacturing companies. By sharing examples of the best practice, we want to open the topic on how to implement the diversity & inclusion in production and manufacturing companies, how to develop it further, and how to communicate it within the company. What are the roles and responsibilities of the management at all levels, how they can help with the effective communication and raising the awareness, and what is the role of so called Employee Resource Groups. We will also look at the work flexibility and flexible benefits in such companies. The date and time will be announced soon.
How Responsible Companies are Addressing the Gender Pay Gap
Date: October 3rd, 2023
We will follow up on the very successful workshop at the European Diversity Day 2023 conference on the topic Gender Pay Gap. The GPG is still the challenge that the Czech Republic has to deal with. On average women in the Czech Republic are paid 16.4% less than men. The pay gap for women working at the same jobs in the same workplace is 10% in the Czech Republic to the disadvantage of women. This, of course, has an impact on women economic situation, including the pension which can put them at a higher risk of poverty. Our signatory, Philip Morris company, will share their best practice on how they address the GPG in their company.
