Invitation to European Diversity Day Conference 2023
The 2023 European Diversity Day International Conference is organized by Business for Society (Byznys pro společnost), the national coordinator of the European Diversity Charter. This high-profile event is part of the European Diversity Month in the Czech Republic. The conference will be held under the auspices of Markéta Pekarová Adamová, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The conference is organised with the support of the European Commission and DG Justice.
Prominent representatives of Czech business, public administration and local self-government, the European Union, ambassadors from Europe and overseas, representatives of academia and other guests will take part in the European Diversity Day International Conference. The European Diversity Day will also include the European Diversity Charter Accession Ceremony to welcome new signatories of the Diversity Charter.
The main theme of the conference is “Diversity, Sustainability, Partnership”. The morning session of the conference will focus on the needs of diverse groups in the labour market, social sustainability programmes and activities that can play an important role in supporting and stabilising various vulnerable groups of people in local communities and in society in the current turbulent times. We will look at the potential of responsible corporate partnerships, which can be an important source of innovative trends and programmes.
Three exclusive parallel workshops to be held in the afternoon: “Future is Female”; “Pay Transparency” and “Second or Third Career” will focus on current national and global DEI issues.
The conference will be moderated by Petra Schwarz Koutská, publicist and PR manager. The conference will be simultaneously interpreted into English and Czech.
The conference will be streamed live with simultaneous interpretation in Czech and English.

Workshop 1 will be streamed online and interpreted to English. Workshops 2 and 3 will be recorded so that you can watch it afterwards. Both workshops will be available in English as well.
Workshop 1: Pay Transparency
Why do women have to work 60 more days a year than men? Remuneration equality and reducing the gender pay gap in the Czech Republic and presentation the best practice of the signatories of the Diversity Charter and responsible companies including the European contexts.
