Supporting families and young talents - diversity and inclusion in company practice
The forum is open and intended for members of the BPS platform and signatories of the Diversity Charter, but also for private and public employers who are "just getting started" with diversity and inclusion. The event is organized by Business for Society in partnership with the signatory of the Diversity Charter of Atlas Copco Services as part of the Diversity & Inclusion MasterClass. The Forum program will offer best practice sharing and joint discussion on current D&I topics such as:
Support of parents at work, support of young talents, inclusion of disabled and LGBT+ workers in the workplace. The program will also introduce new open tools in the project (D&IMC) to support diversity and inclusion in "less experienced" employers.
The biggest value of companies is employees, so it is necessary to create the best possible working environment for them and meet their needs in various life situations. One of the most important life stages is parenthood. But this event brings about a big change, to which the conditions at the workplace must also be adapted. Therefore, it is important that employees who take care of children know that their employer values them and that they continue to belong to the "company community".
Currently, more than 10% of the total number of Atlas Copco Services employees are on parental leave. How to support them in returning to work earlier, even for a few hours a week? How to stay in touch with them and connect them with each other? We will not only answer these questions in the opening panel. We will also devote ourselves to supporting young talents, reaching out to them during their studies, motivating and building their early career. Another discussion panel will follow, also focused on sharing good practice – with the participation of ThermoFischer Scientific, Kyndryl and Continetal Barum, we will open up topics such as LGBT+ and age diversity with a focus on late career.
