On Friday, June 12, 2026, the Give & Gain Day 2026 – National Corporate Volunteering Day took place across the Czech Republic. This traditional event is the country's largest initiative focused on corporate volunteering within the context of corporate social responsibility.
This year's edition once again confirmed that responsible business practices in the Czech Republic make a significant contribution to local communities and society.
A total of 22 responsible companies and 320 corporate volunteers participated.
Together, they contributed 1,915 hours of volunteer work in dozens of public-benefit organizations.
Volunteer activities took place in 11 regions of the Czech Republic.
Where help was provided: Prague, South Bohemian Region, South Moravian Region, Karlovy Vary Region, Hradec Králové Region, Moravian-Silesian Region, Olomouc Region, Pardubice Region, Plzeň Region, Central Bohemian Region, and Ústí nad Labem Region.
Corporate volunteers participated in a wide range of activities – from supporting seniors, children, and people with disabilities to assisting hospitals, social and charitable services, as well as protecting nature, caring for the landscape, and helping animals.
The following responsible companies participated in Give & Gain Day 2026
Bodycote SSC, Bonett Group, Canon CZ, Cocoon, COFIDIS, Commerzbank Prague, CREDITAS, Czech Entrepreneurial Insurance Company (VIG), Egon Zehnder Czech Republic, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech, JT International, Kinstellar, Kooperativa Insurance Company (VIG), MOL Czech Republic, MONETA Money Bank, NAKIT, Pluxee Czech Republic, Sandoz, ČEZ Group, ČSOB Group, Unilever Czech Republic, and VIG RE Reinsurance Company.
This year's edition also carried exceptional symbolic significance. The United Nations declared 2026 the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development, highlighting the crucial role of volunteering in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and strengthening solidarity throughout society.
Hundreds of employees from companies across the Czech Republic once again demonstrated that volunteering, solidarity, and support for local communities have an irreplaceable role in society. Corporate volunteering provides tangible assistance where it is most needed while also strengthening corporate culture, interpersonal relationships, and trust between business and society. Companies can be not only economic actors but also important drivers of positive social change.
“Give & Gain Day” consistently demonstrates that responsible companies in the Czech Republic understand their role as extending far beyond economic performance. They invest their time, energy, and human potential into supporting communities, public-benefit activities, and nonprofit organizations. This is where the true potential of responsible and sustainable business lies,” says Pavel Štern, Director of Business for Society.
We would like to thank all responsible companies, corporate volunteers, partner public-benefit organizations, stakeholders, and other partners who once again took part in this unique initiative and demonstrated that responsibility, solidarity, and cooperation can make the world around us a better place.
