Today, June 12, 2026, Give & Gain Day 2026 – the National Day of Corporate Volunteering is taking place across the Czech Republic. It is the largest corporate volunteering event in Czechia, dedicated to supporting local communities and public benefit organizations!
This year’s event will bring together dozens of responsible companies, public benefit organizations and hundreds of corporate volunteers, who are helping communities today in 11 regions of the Czech Republic – from Prague to the South Bohemian, South Moravian and Moravian-Silesian Regions, as well as the Olomouc, Plzeň and Ústí nad Labem Regions.
Corporate volunteers are helping today across a wide range of activities – from supporting seniors, children and people with disabilities, to assisting hospitals, charitable organizations and social services, as well as protecting nature, caring for the landscape, planting trees and helping animals.
Give & Gain Day, originally a British tradition known as the International Day of Corporate Volunteering, primarily symbolizes solidarity, cooperation and the benefits of corporate social responsibility for communities.
This year’s edition also carries exceptional symbolic significance. The United Nations has declared 2026 the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development, thereby highlighting the important role of volunteering in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and strengthening solidarity across society.
Hundreds of company employees in Czechia are once again confirming today that a responsible approach to business, solidarity and support for communities have an irreplaceable place in society. Corporate volunteering provides concrete help where it is needed, strengthens corporate culture, relationships among employees, and trust between business and society.
“Give & Gain Day once again confirms that responsible companies in the Czech Republic understand their role much more broadly than merely through the lens of economic results. They invest their time, energy and human potential in supporting communities and public benefit activities. This is precisely where the very significant contribution of responsible and sustainable business lies,” says Pavel Štern, Director of Business for Society.
We thank all companies, volunteers and partner organizations who are part of this unique initiative and who together demonstrate that responsibility, solidarity and cooperation can change the world around us for the better.
