Innovation is the key to a sustainable future. UP Sustainable Business Forum! 2024

Traditional meeting of companies, employers and professional institutions in the framework of responsible and sustainable business in the Czech Republic. The Forum is organised by the alliance of responsible companies Byznys pro společnost (Business for Society). This year's UP! 2024 is entitled: "Innovation for Sustainability"

The programme of the Forum UP!2024 this year is completely dedicated to innovation! Innovation for Sustainability, which is and will be a key tool for our sustainable future. Responsible companies already show direction, trends and best practices in innovative and sustainable solutions within many sectors and industries. Innovative forms of collaboration and projects between companies are essential tools for the successful decarbonisation of industry and the economy and the entire green transformation. The systematic approach of responsible companies towards reducing their carbon footprint not only internally, but also within their supply chains, shows opportunities to effectively reduce carbon footprint where it is considered most difficult!

The programme of this year's UP!2024 Forum will focus on the following topics:

- Innovative and inspiring practices of companies awarded in TOP Responsible Company 2023; or how responsible companies are addressing carbon footprint reduction across the supply chain through innovation and innovative projects 

• Innovative sustainability management in the practice of a market infrastructure provider, or how to sustainably operate an stock exchange in conjunction with digital innovation. Examples of best practices will be presented by representatives of Deutsche Börse Group's top management.

• Circular economy and the upcoming amendment to the Packaging Act, which should introduce a deposit system for selected disposable beverage packaging - PET bottles and cans. The deposit system will ensure up to 90% return on PET bottles and cans, which will be used to produce new beverage packaging. The benefits, advantages and risks of the deposit system will be discussed at the UP!2024 forum by foreign experts on the deposit system, (Denmark) representatives of the Deposit Initiative and members such as Coca-Cola HBC CZ & SK, and other interested organisations or companies.

• Sustainable construction and its current trends. For example, reducing energy and water consumption, and overall carbon footprint, efficient use of raw materials, use of environmentally friendly materials, renewable material sources, recycling of materials and reuse of products. Reducing and preventing waste, respectful use of land and inspiration from regenerative agriculture. Use of innovative technologies in the context of sustainable construction. Representatives of Wienerberger CZ, HOCHTIEF CZ, and SKANSKA CZ will present their best practice experiences.

• Innovation for Sustainability - Forum UP!2024 is an international event; it will be simultaneously interpreted into Czech and English, and participation is by attendance. In all parts of the programme, we have invited foreign and domestic experts, experts in their professions and fields.  The UP! 2024 Forum will take place on 16 April 2024 from 9:00 to 12:30. The partner and host of this year's UP! 2024 Forum is Deutsche Börse Group.
