Prague, 4 December 2025
The Alliance for Responsible and Sustainable Business, Business for Society, awarded the best responsible companies of 2025 during a gala evening at the Congress Centre of the Czech National Bank in Prague.
The prestigious TOP Responsible Company award annually recognizes companies that push the boundaries of responsible business, inspire their sectors and demonstrate that positive change has concrete faces, stories and measurable results. For 22 years, it has shown that sustainability is not a marginal discipline, but a key way of managing business – with respect for people, society and the place where we live. Companies have moved from original one-off CSR activities to well-designed sustainability strategies that include measuring business impacts, long-term goals and innovations capable of changing and advancing the standards of sectors and industries – often even beyond the scope of their own business.
This year’s edition was characterized by the leitmotif “Sustainability of Generations”, which captures the need to involve all generations in the process of sustainable green transformation. “Green transformation” cannot be successful without cooperation across ages, fields and sectors. Challenges such as climate change, the rise of artificial intelligence, labour market transformation and population ageing cannot be addressed in isolation. Responsible companies know this – and that is why they cooperate with one another, with universities, expert institutions, schools, the non-profit sector and public administration. They share data and know-how and advance the standards of entire industries.
They invest creativity and resources, among other things, in regenerative agriculture and landscape measures, retain and protect water, revive soil and minimize waste. Recycling and circular processes are being systematically developed in the food industry, construction and the automotive industry. Clean mobility is among the priorities of responsible companies, as is the development and support of technological innovations, including renewable energy sources. All of this contributes to greater sustainability of supply chains and to the competitiveness of the Czech Republic.
TOP Responsible Company is not only a prestigious award – it is a reflection of the very best that Czech business has to offer. At the same time, it is a reminder that behind every positive change are specific people, their ideas, creativity, courage and determination.
More than 60 companies took part in this year’s edition. The expert jury evaluated over 140 projects and strategies. Throughout the entire history of the competition, almost 1,200 companies and more than 2,000 projects have been involved, demonstrating that responsibility and sustainability have become a firm part of corporate practice in the Czech Republic. These numbers carry weight – they prove that responsible companies are not slowing down and continue to persistently promote sustainable and responsible business, despite the complex challenges of the present day.
TOP Responsible Company is a comprehensive assessment of a company’s approach to responsible and sustainable business and is open to all companies that embrace this approach and want to develop it further. This year, the expert jury, composed of almost 70 representatives from business, academia, public administration, the media and civil society, assessed projects in a total of 8 strategic and project categories. In addition to last year’s new strategic category TOP Responsible Company – Innovation for Sustainability, this year saw the introduction of a new project category, TOP Responsible Company – Communication for Sustainability.
The 22nd edition was supported by partners ČEZ, a. s., IVECO Czech Republic, the Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic and the European Investment Bank.
The award was held under the auspices of the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel, Prime Minister Petr Fiala, European Commissioner for International Partnerships Jozef Síkela, the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Regional Development of the Czech Republic.
The gala evening was hosted by moderator Eva Čerešňáková, and the multigenerational musical accompaniment was provided by DJ MARGARETTA.
