Over half of LGBT+ people are hiding their true self in the Czech workspace. They are afraid of reactions from their colleagues or that their coming out may cost them a job promotion. However imaginary these reasons may sound, they are based on the environment that the LGBT+ people are working in. An increasing number of companies working in the Czech Republic have decided to change this trend and work on creating a welcoming and open working environment where everyone can be themselves.
The food and beverage industry is leading these advances worldwide. Also, in the Czech Republic, we witnessed a gradual shift in this industry, with a growing number of companies joining Pride Business Forum.
The goal of the Symposium is to open the conversation about the position of LGBT+ employees and clients in the food and beverage industry and what companies can do to improve their situation. The symposium will bring practical tools to start with LGBT+ equality in the food and beverage industry workplaces.
